About Winery
Ulysses Vineyard, located on Napa Valley’s prestigious Oakville bench, was founded in 2008 by Christian Moueix, the renowned winemaker behind Dominus Estate and Château Petrus in Bordeaux. The vineyard was originally part of the historic Charles Hopper Ranch, and its location—on an alluvial fan at the foot of the Mayacamas Range—offers deep, gravelly clay loam soils ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon.
Since acquiring the property, Moueix and his team have undertaken a meticulous restoration of the vineyard, focusing on dry farming to enhance root depth and drought resistance. This sustainable approach allows the vines to express the pure character of the terroir, resulting in wines that are elegant, structured, and deeply reflective of their origin
