Chateau Haut Bages

Château Haut-Bages Libéral is a historic Fifth Growth estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux, dating back to the 18th century when the Libéral family, influential wine brokers, established it. Named after them and located on the prized Bages plateau, the château earned its classification in the 1855 Bordeaux ranking. After periods of decline, it was revitalized in the 1980s under the Taillan Group and is now led by Claire Villars-Lurton, who has embraced organic and biodynamic practices to restore its reputation for elegant, terroir-driven wines.
