The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain comes from the northern, warmer end of the appellation and has a saturated purple color as well a stunning bouquet of blackcurrants, lavender, rare meat, iodine, and unsmoked tobacco. Deep, full-bodied, and beautifully concentrated, it hits the palate with an expansive, sexy texture, building tannins, and a monster of a finish. It's going to benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and cruise for 25-30 years in cool cellars. 98+
