Schloss Gobelsburg

Schloss Gobelsburg, located in the Kamptal region of Austria, is one of the country’s oldest wineries, with origins dating back to 1171 when Cistercian monks began cultivating vines there. Over the centuries, the estate became renowned for its Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, rooted in the mineral-rich soils of the Danube valley. In 1996, winemaker Michael Moosbrugger took over management, ushering in a new era that combined modern precision with respect for tradition. Today, Schloss Gobelsburg is celebrated internationally for its elegant, terroir-driven wines and its dedication to preserving historic winemaking practices, exemplified by the Tradition Heritage line.
