Collection: Mayacamas

Mayacamas Winery, nestled in Napa Valley's Mount Veeder AVA, was founded in 1889 by German immigrant John Henry Fisher, who built the original stone winery using materials from the land. After Fisher went bankrupt following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, the property changed hands several times until Jack and Mary Taylor purchased it in 1941, renaming it Mayacamas Vineyards and planting the first Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. In 1968Bob Travers took over, championing traditional winemaking techniques that earned the winery international acclaim—especially when its 1971 Cabernet Sauvignon was featured in the historic Judgment of Paris tasting in 1976. Today, Mayacamas is celebrated for its timeless, restrained style and deep roots in California wine history.
