Collection: Domaine Eden
Domaine Eden began as a mountaintop vineyard established by the late Tom Mudd in 1983, originally planted with Mount Eden clonal selections of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, later expanding to include Pinot Noir from Dijon and California heritage clones. The property was once home to Cinnabar Winery before Mount Eden Vineyards acquired it in 2007. Situated at about 1,650 feet elevation in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Domaine Eden’s soils (Los Gatos Clay Loam) and vineyard orientation give its wines a more fruit-forward, expansive mid-palate compared to the mineral-driven style of Mount Eden’s estate wines. This inspired the creation of the Domaine Eden brand, which focuses on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Bordeaux varietals, crafted with the same sustainable and natural viticulture practices as Mount Eden.
