Winemaker Notes
Shiny and transparent pale rosé color. Delicate red berry aromas with mineral notes, along with floral hints and a subtle spice. Rock Angel is rich and racy on the palate. The use of partial oak aging adds a creamy feel and texture to this wine, and the flinty minerality embues it with another layer of complexity. Powerful and elegant. Firm acidity with a long and silky finish.
Winery History
Château d’Esclans, located in Provence, France, has roots dating back to the time of the Counts of Provence, but its modern fame began in 2006 when wine entrepreneur Sacha Lichine purchased the estate. His vision was to elevate rosé to the level of fine wine, and with the help of renowned winemaker Patrick Léon, he created Whispering Angel, which quickly became a global phenomenon. In 2019, luxury group LVMH acquired a majority stake, cementing Château d’Esclans as the leader of the “Rosé Renaissance” and a benchmark for high-quality Provençal rosé.
