Winemaker Notes
Bright red fruits such as cherry and strawberry lead the nose, layered with subtle floral notes and hints of spice. On the palate, it balances elegance and structure, offering earthy undertones of leather, smoke, and mineral-laced soil that are typical of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and lively acidity, it finishes with persistence and finesse, making it approachable now but capable of developing further complexity with a few more years of cellaring.
About Winery
The domaine was created by consolidating parcels from across Burgundy, including Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, with a strong focus on biodynamic viticulture and respect for terroir. Today, it manages over 30 hectares of vineyards, many of them Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites, and is known for producing elegant, terroir-driven wines that highlight the diversity of Burgundy’s climats. Despite its modern founding, Vougeraie quickly established itself as a benchmark producer, blending tradition with innovation and sustainability.
